Rules & Regulations
A) Only products and /or services relating to the electrical insulation/electrical manufacturing and coil winding industry are eligible to exhibit.
B) Items or services exhibited (or referred to) must be those normally manufactured or provided by the Exhibitor.
C) The subletting of exhibit space is prohibited.
D) Exhibits must be staffed by an authorized company representative during all exposition hours.
E) No over-the-counter retail sales will be allowed at the exposition.
F) No exhibitor may exhibit, display, offer, or distribute any used, old obsolete, outmoded, or outdated equipment, or materials; or catalogs, or literature which describes said equipment or materials; or offers or publicizes services related to said equipment or materials.
Payment or Space
All monies paid to the EME EXPO are non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of Exhibitor's violation or breach of this contract, including, but not limited to, the reduction of the size of exhibit or withdrawal of exhibit from the Show. If Exhibitor fails to submit space payments at specified times, EME EXPO shall have the right to take possession or said
space and lease it to another party.
Display Regulation
A) No exhibit may block or interfere with a neighboring exhibit.
B) Standard booth exhibits: Exhibit fixtures, components and identification signs will be permitted to a maximum height of eight (8) feet. Sidewalls may not extend more than five (5) feet from the backwall. All display fixtures over four (4) feet high and placed within ten (10) linear feet of a neighboring booth must be confined to the back five (5) feet of the booth.
C) Peninsula booth exhibits: Peninsula booths that abut one another are limited to sixteen (16) feet in height in areas ten (10) feet away from a neighboring booth. All space within ten (10) feet of a neighboring is limited to ten (10) feet in height. Peninsula booths that abut linear booths are limited to a centered backwall configuration eight (8) feet high and ten
(10) feet wide. All display materials or equipment on either side of the backwall within ten (10) feet of a neighboring booth are limited to four (4) feet in height. All spaces at least ten (10) feet away from a neighboring booth are limited to sixteen (16) feet in height.
D) Island booth exhibits: Exhibit fixtures, components and identification signs will be permitted to a height of sixteen (16) feet. Note: If you plan to use solid walls along the perimeter of your display they must be placed 5 in. from the aisles.
E) No nails or screws may be driven into the floor of the exhibit hall; no damage of any nature may be done to any part of the exhibit hall.
Safety Provisions
Exhibitors must provide the necessary shielding or safety devices, to protect attendees, other Exhibitors and all others from equipment that is operable or any other materials which might cause bodily harm.
Fireproofing
All Exhibitor materials must be non-flammable or treated for fire prevention by an approved method. Inflammable fluids, substances or materials of any nature may not be used in any booth. All materials must be flame proofed before being taken into the exhibit area. All materials and installation must comply with the requirements of all inspection authorities who have jurisdiction.
Electrical Compliance
Electrical wiring and equipment must meet the electrical codes in force at the time of the Exposition, as interpreted by the inspection authorities who have jurisdiction (available upon request).
Liabilities
Exhibitor herby agrees to indemnify, and save harmless, the Exposition and the Exhibit Hall, and its owners, their managers, officers, sponsors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns from any suit or claim for personal injury, or for property damage, or for loss of use of property by whomsoever sustained said loss, unless the damages or injury are due solely to the negligence of the EMCWA, the EME Exposition, or the Exhibit Hall.
Hold Harmless
Exhibitor hereby agrees to hold, save and keep EMCWA, the EME Exposition, as well as the Exhibit Hall and its Owner, forever harmless from any damages or charges imposed for violation of any law or ordinance whether occasioned by the negligence of the Exhibitor or those working for or controlled by the Exhibitor, as well as to strictly comply with applicable terms and conditions contained in the general agreement between the Exposition and the
Exhibition Hall and its Owner, regarding the exhibition premises.
Insurance
Exhibitor shall carry Comprehensive General Liability coverage, including premises, operations and contractual liability coverage, of at least $1,000,000 for personal injury liability and $1,000,000 for property damage liability, and, in Liability WITH A LIMIT OF AT LEAST $300,000. Certificates of insurance shall be furnished if requested by the EMCW. Failure of the EMCW to request such certificates shall not relieve Exhibitor from carrying
above coverage.
Cleaning of Exhibits
The Exposition will vacuum and maintain aisles of the exhibit hall. Exhibitors must, at their own expense, keep their exhibit space clean (including rugs vacuumed and products dusted) and exhibits in good order.
Meetings
No Exhibitor shall hold any meeting or event that conflicts with Show or Conference hours.
Services
The EME shall use reasonable effort to have all necessary power, air, water and gas services installed and operating during the Show. The EME however, shall not be responsible for the late installation or interruption of any such services.
Union Jurisdiction
Exhibitor must observe all union regulations in force in the exhibit hall.
Termination of Exposition
In the event that the premises in which the Exposition is conducted shall become, in the sole discretion of the Exposition, unfit for occupancy or substantially interfered with by reason of any causes not reasonably within its control, this agreement may be terminated by the Exposition. For this purpose, the term "cause or causes" shall include, but not by way of limitation, fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion or accident, blockades, embargo, inclement weather, governmental restraints, restraints or orders of civil defense or military authorities, act of public enemy, riot or civil disturbance, strike, lockout, boycott, or other labor disturbances, inability to secure sufficient labor, technical, or other personnel: failure, impairment or lack of adequate transportation facilities, inability to obtain, or condemnation, requisition or commandeering of, necessary supplies or equipment, local, state or federal law, ordinance, rule, order, decree or regulation, whether legislative,
executive or judicial, and whether constitutional or regulation, whether legislative, executive or judicial, and whether constitutional or unconstitutional, or act of God. Should the Exposition terminate this agreement pursuant to the provisions of this paragraph, the Exhibitor waives any and all claims for damages and agrees that the Exposition may, after
computing the total amount refundable to all Exhibitors (the amount by which the total amount of fees paid by all Exhibitors exceeds the total amount of Exposition costs and expenses in connection with its preparation for and conducting of the Exposition, including a reasonable amount for claims and other contingencies), refund to the Exhibitor, as and for complete settlement and discharge of all said Exhibitor's claims and demands, an amount which bears the same relationship to the fee paid by said Exhibitor as the total refundable amount as computed above bears to the total amount of fees paid by Exhibitors.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws, both as to interpretation and performance, and in the courts, of the State of Illinois.
Amendments
The EME shall have final authority as to interpretation of these rules and their application and the authority to establish penalties in the event of violation, and the power to make such amendments thereto, and such further rules and regulations as shall be considered necessary for proper conduct of the Exposition.
